About Us
Incorporated in 1932, the Carthage Chamber of Commerce serves many business and social networking needs of the greater Carthage area. To further enhance the Chamber's mission, the Board of Directors formulates a Program of Work which details our goal-oriented projects each year. 

Committees are then assigned these goals based on areas of interest.  Each committee contains a Chairperson and several Chamber Members to provide direction and assist in the committee's tasks.  Call the Chamber at (417) 358-2373 or by email at info@carthagechamber.com for more information on how you can become involved in these dynamic committees.  

Benefits of Membership
In today’s world, businesses need the support of their local communities to thrive and become successful. The Carthage Chamber of Commerce helps provide and enhance that support, as well as offers several member-to-member benefits to our membership. Here is a quick glimpse of what YOU can expect from YOUR Chamber Membership!  

Annual Banquet- This special evening features entertainment, networking and is host to the annual recognition presentations. All Members are invited to attend this spectacular event which is held in January!
 
Celebrate Carthage- Need lunch plans? This quarterly luncheon offers Members the opportunity to hear what is happening in their own backyard! Celebrate Carthage speakers are given 1 minute to highlight their business, introduce new products, or make special announcements effecting the Carthage business community. Members may also host this great event held the first Thursday of March, June, September and December.   
 
Committees- Help us help you! The Chamber offers nine committees including Annual Banquet, Education/Business, Retail and Small Business, Industrial Relations, Golf, Governmental Relations, Leadership Carthage, Maple Leaf Festival, and Membership Development. Each committee is developed to target a specific area of interest to the Chamber and its Members. Most committees meet monthly, call the Chamber for details.   
 
Economic Development- The Chamber works to build and strengthen the business community of Carthage on a daily basis. We can help your business find a new location, give advice on how to start a new business endeavor, or provide up-to-date information on local and regional trends and state-wide programs.   

Eggs & Issue Forums- As governmental issues arise, the Chamber works to host a special informative program featuring speakers from both sides of the issues to share their thoughts and opinions with Chamber Members. Forums are held in the morning and usually include a buffet breakfast.   

Fourth Friday Coffee- This great networking opportunity in an informal setting offers Members the chance to share information about their business, the community or news happening on a national scope! Coffees are held quarterly starting the fourth Friday of January and are sponsored by various Members.

HR Solutions Center- This online human resource center offers Members over $1,000 worth of compliance and human resource information absolutely free! With a click of the mouse Members can tap into vital information on topics from recruiting to retirement including compliance, hiring, training, seminars, payroll and more.

Member Referrals- When information is requested, either by phone or in person, the Chamber always refers Chamber Members first. The Chamber attempts to inform members of referrals by sending referral notices to Members when a referral is made. 

Member-To-Member Discount Program-   A special quarterly program that helps promote and encourage Members to shop with fellow Members. Each Member receives a discount program card, which they then can use at any of the participating member businesses to receive special discounts or offers available only to Chamber Members. Membership Directory/Community Profile Book- A great reference guide for Members and non-members alike! The directory lists Members by category and alphabetically, whereas the community profile section provides valuable information about the community of Carthage! The Chamber prints and distribute over 2,500 copies annually.   

Missouri Chamber Care Program- At a time when most businesses are seeing healthcare costs steadily rise, the Chamber offers Members an alternative to help lower rates without cutting coverage. Fore more information about this innovative health insurance program, call the Chamber.

Pride In Carthage Sponsorship Packages- Members can gain excellent publicity by sponsoring a variety of Chamber events or publications throughout the year. This direct advertising approach is unmatched in the business community.   

Business After-Hours- After a long day at work why not come mingle with your fellow Chamber Members! Promote your business by hosting one of the six After-Hours held in February, May, August, November.   

Ribbon Cuttings/Open Houses/Grand Openings- Celebrate your business’s relocation, opening or anniversary with this special Members-only service!    

Spotlight on Carthage- A monthly newsletter featuring upcoming Chamber services, various community events/activities and highlighting issues affecting the overall Carthage business community.    

Web Site/Links- www.carthagechamber.com is the Chamber’s online connection to its Members and the world! Members can view the Chamber’s Calendar of Events, search for fellow Members or download the latest census and business data! Members are listed by category with web site links provided at no charge.
