    April 28 Opening of "Early Tourism in Jasper County: Jefferson Highway and Ozark Playgrounds Association," Special Exhibit in meeting room through summer.

    April 28 - Special evening opening for convention. General public is welcome to stop by, too, 6 pm to 8 pm.

    April 29-30  Powers Museum hosts the annual convention of the Jefferson Highway Association taking place in Carthage.

Carthage Emerging Leaders (CEL) Agriculture Tour & Picnic Lunch

  • Begins at 11:30am and ends at 1pm
  • “Sustainable, Organic Farming in the Real World”
    We will have a picnic lunch prepared by the Garrett Family, tour this family-owned, local, non-GMO, antibiotic and hormone free, pasture raised farm. The Garrett Family sells chickens, eggs, and pork, with turkeys to come just in time for the holidays! 
    Cost $10*, includes lunch.  All CELs are invited.    
    Attendees should be prepared for a farm environment and dress accordingly. Alternative footwear will not be provided.
