All members are invited to attend this spectacular event which is held in January! Business After-Hours - After a long hard day at work, why not come mingle with your fellow Chamber members. This is a great way to promote your business and a wonderful networking opportunity. This event is held by request from our members at little or no cost. For more information, contact the Chamber office. Committees - Help us to help you! The Chamber offers seven committees including Annual Banquet, Golf Tournament, Trivia Night, Governmental Relations, Maple Leaf Festival, Education/Business, and Membership Development. Each committee is developed to target a specific area of interest to the Chamber and its members. Call the Chamber for details. Economic Development - The Chamber works on a daily basis to build and strengthen the business community of Carthage. We can help your business find a new location, give advice on how to start a new business endeavor, or provide up-to-date information on local and regional trends and state-wide programs. Eggs & Issue Forums - As governmental issues arise, the Chamber works to host a special informative program featuring speakers from both sides of the issue to share their thoughts and opinions with Chamber members. Forums are held in the morning and usually include a buffet breakfast. Friday Morning Coffee - This is a great networking opportunity in an informal setting and offers members the chance to share information about their business, the community or news happening on a national scope. Coffees are great if you have a new employee you want to introduce to the community or if you have a great new product within your business you want the community to know about. Coffees are held upon request by our membership at little or no cost. Member Referrals - When information is requested, by by phone, email, or in person, the Chamber always refers Chamber members first. The Chamber informs members of referrals by sending referrral notices to Members monthly. Member-2-Member Discount Program - A special quarterly program that helps promote and encourage members to shop with fellow members. Each member receives a discount program card that they then can use at any of the participating member businesses to receive special discounts or offers available only to Chamber members. Participating program members are listed in the Chamber's monthly newsletter and on the Chamber's web site. View a complete list of M2M participants. Membership Directory/Community Profile Book - A great reference guide for members and non-members alike! The directory lists members both by category and alphabetically, whereas the community profile section provides valuable information about the community of Carthage! The Chamber prints and distributes over 2,500 copies annually. The Directory is available for all Chamber members to have in their place of business. Pride in Carthage Sponsorship Packages - Members can gain excellent publicity by sponsoring a variety of Chamber events or publications throughout the year. This direct advertising approach is unmatched in the business community. Sponsorship opportunities include: Golf Scramble, Eggs & Issues, Trivia Night, Maple Leaf Festival, Annual Banquet, Summer Sale-Bration, and various luncheons. Ribbon Cuttings/Open Houses/Grand Openings - Celebrate your business's relocation, grand opening or anniversary with this special members-only service! Ribbon Cuttings are highlighted in the local newspaper and in the Spotlight on Carthage newsletter. Spotlight on Carthage - A monthly newsletter featuring upcoming Chamber services, various community events/activities, and highlighting issues affecting the overall Carthage business community. Members can provide press releases from their business which can be highlighted in the "Members in the News" section of the newsletter. Web Site/Links - www.carthagechamber.com is the Chamber's online connection to its members and the world! Members can view the Chamber's calendar of events, search for fellow members, or download the latest census and business data! Members are listed both by category and alphabetically with web site links provided at no charge. |
